Crowned is a workbook-style read written to help couples planning to be married in the Orthodox Christian Church build a firm foundation for a life-long and eternal marriage, rooted in the Church, by centering the wedding day around the Sacrament. It takes the couple through the considerations of planning an Orthodox wedding in a secular world. It covers various steps of the planning process, beginning after a newly engaged couple has received a blessing to be married by the local parish priest, all the way through post-wedding day reflections and thank you’s. Journaling opportunities are provided throughout with contemplative prompts ranging from scriptural quotes on the Sacrament of marriage, to general wedding details. The book also includes wedding day timeline samples, a sample wedding program with descriptions of the Liturgical components of the service, and a cultural resource guide listing Pan-Orthodox variations in tradition.
