A Prayer for Stomach Discomfort
A printable with a prayer for relief from digestive complaints:
“O LORD my God, who through Paul thy chosen vessel didst command the apostle Timothy to take a little wine for his stomach: take away from me this suffering and pain in my stomach [or bowels, etc.], and out of the depths of thy tender mercy, hearken to my groaning and restore calmness to my exhausted flesh. And when thou comest in thy kingdom, remember me, my Savior, and receive me to thyself, so that where thou art, I may be there also, and may with thee drink the new wine of eternal cheer together with all thy saints. Through the prayers of thy immaculate Mother, of the hieromartyr Elmo of Formia, and of all thy saints. Amen.”
Prayer from the St. Tikhon’s Monastery Press “Orthodox Christian Prayers” prayer book
